Our first night for the new training year will be Tuesday, September 5th. This night is for any new cadet looking to come check us out, as well as all of our returning cadets. We meet every Tuesday night from 6:30pm to 9:15pm. Our training location is the LCdr Paddon Building on The Boulevard, facing Quidi Vidi Lake.

This first night will provide an overview of the cadet program and what we have to offer for any new cadets looking to join as well as their parents. We will begin with a meeting for the parents of all new cadets at 6:30pm, after which they can choose to stay and observe the first night if they wish or return at the end of the night to pick up their child. For our returning cadets, we will be giving an presentation on the training plans for this upcoming year along with breaking in to our new Challenge Shield Teams for 2017-18. UPDATED!!!

Becoming an Army Cadet is pretty easy.  You can always come down and check it out before you decide for sure whether you want to be involved or not.   We always suggest to new cadets to try and give it at least one month as it takes time to do some of the more fun and active training.

If you wish to become an Army Cadet, then you will need to fill out the paperwork below.  Please download and complete your application and bring it down to us on a Tuesday night.  If you do not have access to a printer then no worries.  Just come on down and we can walk you through the application process.

If you answer yes to any of the medical questions in the form above, you may need to fill out an additional health questionnaire. Please ensure that a parent / guardian comes to speak with us if this is the case.

Be aware that our administrative processes require that we have a photocopy of one of the following (we can photocopy at our office for you if you bring the original):

  • a valid Canadian passport; OR
  • a birth certificate (not a baptismal certificate); OR
  • a valid resident card; OR
  • a valid identification card issued by a Canadian provincial or federal government agency.

We would also like to have a photocopy of your healthcare care (MCP or Private) for our records.  We cannot wait to meet you!
